Howie really bedazzled me today with his story of going to the bloodbank. He was unaware that gay people are forbidden to give blood, and when he found out, he told them nevermind and that he would consider returning if they changed the policy. He quantified that with a statement that he would donate in an emergency, which is a very reasonable compromise. He based this action on the fact that he felt the injustice to his gay friends. He is extraordinary and we need more like him.
