Waiting on Harmony...

Jesse and I bought a baby Slider. It was an impulse, we thought he'd be a great companion for Spaz. (Since Jack's been pond-uninterested lately.) But no. Spaz welcomed the baby with snapping jaws -- tried to chomp him at introductions.
A quick net saved baby turtle.
Clearly an impulse buy. So we turned to Marlene, and thought she might welcome a little Harmony into her home. And she certainly did. Harmony was given a warm home on the recently renovated (good job Marlene! / Michael!) patio.

But Harmony has wandered. And we've not seen her/him since. So here we are, waiting for Harmony... then Jesse and I headed out to Long Beach to the Aquarium of the Pacific to see some real turtles (it was for the birds).

These little guys called lorikeets are the coolest things. Trap them and they will entertain humans for an hour for just two dollars of sugar water.

And the Great Sea Turtle, that we paid to see..

Not so great.....
